Liza and Liv had been wanting me to video them dancing for like an hour before Matt got home and I was busy in the kitchen, so i said like any loving wife would; " when daddy gets home i know he would love to!" Here's the fireplace... Matt's pretty pleased with himself on this little project. It has taken a little longer than he wanted, but it's come together nicely. It's just got one or two pieces of trim left to do and then he can call it done. Lookin good Matt!

My little baby boy is growing up so fast! Nine months old today! This week he has reached an important milestone-- He can now pull himself up to standing... and he won't stop! He has put himself into laundry baskets and our blanket basket, he gets stuff out of the drawers and throws it around and hollers proudly as if to let you know "this mess is mine!"

Liza and her friends had a lot of fun at her baking birthday party. They all made their own little mini pizzas and then decorated their own cupcakes. She is now five years old and growing a lot! Her daddy got her an easy bake oven which she used to make her own cake with.

We made it into idaho falls to trick-or-treat at grampa moedl's house early enough to play outside in the leaves for a while. i think the girls had more fun doing that than trick-or-treating, which we all know is the scariest thing ever invented, right? maybe that just us... Liza's princess hair was sooo pretty before the leaf jumping party... oh well. Livia had 4 little piggy-tails- so cute! here are our two princesses sleeping beauty and thumbelina, and little gabe is a football player, (you can't see him real good wrapped up like that but it was cold!) as happy as can be... The girls loved trick-or-treating at grama and grampa jenkins' house too- they got loaded! half their night's haul was brought in in one stop- i can't help but think that the other houses must have been a little of a let-down after that!

My Sweet Heart Livia. nearly 3 years old! She's cute as a button, and sweet as sugar! She has this uncanny ability to make you adore her with her baby cheeks and bright eyes and her baby hair-do and beautiful innocence. We went to the tetons and yellowstone nat'l parks this weekend in search of leaves changing color. the weather was so nice and it was such a good little trip. we saw a bear at the tetons and tons of elk and buffalo in yellowstone and even a couple wolves and a huge fat swan. this is at jenny lake, not to be confused with ricki lake ;) Soooo pretty!

The Girls were so excited to see and hold their new baby brother. I'm notsure if the nine months took longer for Marlise or for the girls. Here are some cute pictures of Gabriel and his new family. Her are the facts I know everybody likes to here: Weight 7lbs 1oz, height 20.5", born at 8:04pm Thursday, May 6th, 2010. As you can see from the pictures he has lots of hair (the most out of all our children). He and Marlise are doing very well and both are getting well deserved rest. Enough talk here are the pictures.

So even though i said i was gonna post the news when we found out, (its been like two months now) IT"S A BOY!!! yep- baby number three is a boy- yay! we're really excited about it and it seems just right for our family. so our due date is May 5th. (although i'm kinda hoping we can fit it in in the end of April... we'll see what we can do about that.) we haven't decide on any names yet, mostly because i am so picky about boy names. They're so much harder to pick. but yeh- ( This is me about a week before livia was born, {9 full months along} but i pretty much am just an early bloomer! this is basically what i look like any time after 6 months.) yeh it looks like that belly is strapped on but thats real! Sorry- What a hideous picture!! but its basically the only one i have of me pregnant to accompany this post... i'll have to remedy that. maybe get a more "flat"tering angle. and make a different face!

Liza did pretty good skating this time she hasn't skated at all this winter until yesterday and she was way less afraid and even wanted to let go of daddy's hand by the end. matt's so good to spend time with her and is so patient with her pace, our girls are lucky to have him for their daddy.

All Moved In

Yay! so we finally moved into our new house on the 23rd of January! It's so cool! we have still got a few projects left to finish up and a bunch of boxes left to unpack but we're in! Unpacking all this stuff makes me wonder where it all fit in our other (much) smaller house. kinda baffling actually. its so nice to have a place to put things when you're putting them away!

From family room into kitchen Master Bath Vanity (complete with odds and ends strewn around to prove that yes we are living here... okay i guess i could have put things away, but whatever.) we still need to do the tile back splash in here. cool little glass and metalic tiles... i love them

this one gives a little better idea of the space in here. notice liv has panties on the outside of her zippy jammies... very super hero.

this is how far we've gotten of this project- we still have to put up a mantle and build the drawers for under the hearth. but it'll look great when it's finished!

This is what our Christmas Morning looked like before the girls woke up. Liza asked Santa for a playhouse this year, and Liv always just copies her no matter what she says so Santa brought them a house!after we cleaned up a bit...

we went to my mom's house and we played rockband for several hours... Matt kicked rear as the vocalist for our band! Here he is- hittin the high notes like a pro! Facial expressions are always a plus!

We are almost ready to start tiling the master shower; it will be started after the painting is done.

okay, i don't think i ever posted this one; this last winter liza made a snowman the same height as she is and i gave her a baby carrot for the nose and big chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth and she made it a 'snow hat' (not a cone head) and she was so proud of him... but she was freeeeezing so i made her come inside. then i helped her look out the window at it in the backyard... but by the time we got in the house and unbundled, all the face decorations had fallen off... and i was like 'oh no, now we have to go back outside and fix it so liza's not sad...' but liza just looked at it for a second and said, "oh- he turned around."

So nothing really extremely exiting has been going on lately, but here's an update on our house building. We've been digging trenches for electrical and we poured concrete for our footings last week and we are pouring concrete for our foundation walls tomorrow, so next week we will pour the basement floor and put in our bearing walls in the basement... Then the more exciting things will start, like the walls and stuff that is easier to see somthing happening and watch the progress. and then it won't look like a bunch of holes and piles of dirt... so then i'll post pictures.

we went up to kelley's canyon for a while to let the girls run around (even though it was like 45 degrees) and they couldn't get enough of this little creek running through the campground. one of liza's favorite things to do is "throw rocks in the river" so we kept throwin rocks and sticks in this poor little stream, kinda cloggin it up a bit. they loved jumping over it, too. as my mom would say... "a good time was had by all."

i just noticed that i never posted anything for little liza's birthday :..( so in effort to correct this... even though it's like more than 4 months late, here are a couple pics of Liza's 3rd birthday, december 22, 2008...
and here is her cake that kept falling apart (because it was filled with vanilla pudding and raspberries and i had to keep putting more and more frosting on it to cover up the holes where the icing shlumpped off and then put it in the fridge so it would set up ) but it was just what she said she wanted, a princess-y polka dotted heart cake.

okay, so we finally have some really cool news... we are now the rightful owners of 2 acres of land! cool, right? (yeh. i know you all thought i was goona say that i was pregnant right? well, no.) the first step to building our house is now complete. (!) we're so excited. as matt puts it, "we are so done living in this trailer." (not that it's been THAT bad living in this trailer, its kinda homey afterall,) but, yeh, we could be done and it wouldn't hurt my feelings. But any way... we're building a house! if ya wanna see what our house plan is sorta like you can check out needahouseplan.com and ours will be alot like plan number 1572. we made a bunch of minor changes but it's that same thing basically. The drafter is accually a friend of ours and has just finished a website for house plans that she has drawn. she is really good and i would totally recomend her to any one who needs a house plan.

We Finally took Liza ice skating, and how do you think it went? AWESOME!!! she LOVED it! just like she knew she would. and Liv loved it too.. We can' t wait to go again...

since it doesn't really look like she's rippin it up in the video, i threw this pic in for proof! yeh, that's all the ice shavings stuck in her skates cause of all the tricks she was doing, ya know triple salcows and whatnot...the usual, nothing fancy.

Liza has been dying to go ice skating since this past summer, and she would ask all the time if it was going to snow yet so she could go skating. (i kinda thought it was just a whim...) but she has been very persistent. So...

We got Santa to bring the cuteset little ice skates you've ever seen!! they have two blades each so little kids are more confident on them. They are so small, they're only like 7 inches long and so cute!

Merry Christmas! This is before we all tore into our Christmas day bounty and the girls diggin into their stockings. Liv was excited every time she took a piece of candy out and didn't care what else was in there, she would have been just as satisfied with a couple of candies as she would have been with anything else. Liza was excited that santa ate the cookies and drank all his milk she left out for him, but was sad that she forgot to leave out the carrots for the reindeer.

SAD!! look what happened to our little blue car... matt was in the wrong part of town at the wrong time of night and was attacked!! j/k! a big dumb gravel truck drove by poor defenseless matt and some dumb little gravels came and broke his window into little shrapnels. matt wasn't hurt, so thank my lucky stars. But it still reeks that his window shatterred, and that glass whacked him in the face, and that his ear drum got nearly exploded by the sound. he even had glass down his jacket when he took it off later!!

AAAHHH!!! Livia's finally walking! well ya know, toddling. she's 13 and 1/2 months old and has been walking around the furniture and stuff since she was like 6 and 1/2 months. but now she's so brave and stands up by herself for minutes at a time but just wasn't interested in walking. just a step or two at a time then she'd let herself down to the floor really slow and careful.she's been taking it slow, relaxed style. she took a few steps last night but this morning she was doing so good! sorry we're still in our jammies in the video, and liza was the photographer, and i had to keep telling her to just push the button and then leave it alone. what a good walking baby!!

So,... we were able to go to oregon for thanksgiving this year to visit matt's family that lives over there. it was so fun! we had a really good time. we stayed with matt's brother keith, and his wife erin. they were so good to us we almost stayed there for an extra month or two. thanks guys! you rock! here are some pics of our trip....

(tragic, really. knife in the head.) but it was fun. we way had the best costumes. and matt tried having an accent which is always funny! he kept saying things like "you bloke" and "jolly good" and "right-o" and once in a while just "oi there!" or "i do say..." very british, until he put his mustache under his chin, and ditched the magnifying glass, then he was a wee irish. and said "i've got to find me rainbow, quick lad! v'ye seen one anywheres?!" too bad his belly is fake, huh? looks so good on him!!

okay, i'm just going to pretend it hasn't been a really long time since i posted last, and just pick up where i left off... So- we are doing good. we've done some fun things lately... Livia just turned 1 year old, then there was halloween, then matt and i went to a murder mystery party with some friends (i know--shocker--we have friends!) but other than that i guess we haven't done too much out of the ordinary. here are some new pix to satisfy all those of our faithful readers of our ever changing and o-so-entertaining blog....

the girls were little cutey bugs for halloween, liza was a butterfly and livia was a lady bug... awww!

liza can always make livie laugh. they have a really special bond and it's so cute to see how they play together...liza says "livsky is my bess fren." (translation: livie is my best friend.) and livie says the same thing only it sounds more like "aaah gah gah!"
